We are pleased to announce that we are now part of the Wells House, Inc. family!
Wells House, Inc.’s beginnings were just as ours….a small program started in 1976 offering a safe recovery environment for a handful of suffering alcoholics. Today Wells House serves over 130 patients and offers a host of programs to assist those starting down the path to recovery from the disease of substance abuse. Thanks to the merger with Wells House, Gale Recovery will be offering additional treatment options at our new treatment center in Frederick, Maryland sometime late summer of 2016. We are very excited to be a part of this growing organization!
Offering Hope and Support—and Improving the Quality of Life
A private non-profit organization located in the heart of Frederick, Maryland, Gale Recovery, Inc., offers life changing residential treatment programs for recovery from the diseases of alcoholism and drug dependency.
Since opening the doors of our first halfway house in 1976, Gale Recovery has effectively served more than 3,000 men and women. Our mission is to provide safe and secure housing, supportive counseling and individual case management focused on our clients’ continued recovery from substance abuse, while fostering independence and self-sufficiency.
Gale Recovery, Inc. has been described as offering a “practice-run” at life in the community, allowing men and women with substance abuse problems to be re-introduced, in manageable steps, to a life free of alcohol and drugs. Comprehensive, holistic services assist residents to identify and address the myriad challenges in transitioning back to sobriety. Our programs provide an effective compassionate solution to a public health problem which impacts our community daily. Success is evident as three out of four individuals are free from alcohol and drug abuse when they exit our program and two out of three have obtained employment.
When we provide individuals striving to get clean and sober with the support they need to transform their lives, we positively impact families and workplaces —and make our community a safer, healthier, better place to live.
We offer individualized programs and are certified by the Maryland Alcohol and Drug Administration. Our committed staff provides 24/7 on-site supervision and support as our residents transition to a life of recovery over a period of three to six months.
We welcome your partnership in this important endeavor.
